Piyal Kithsiri, one of the Founder Partners of PBC Associates, provides overall leadership for the firm. He commenced his professional career in 2007 and at present, he leads the divisions of PBC including Audit and Assurance, Tax and Business Consultancy. He serves as a Director of PBC Management Consultants (Pvt) Ltd, which provides Corporate and Secretarial, Recruitment and Human Resource Management services.
Piyal is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He is the All Island Third in the Commerce Stream at his Advanced Level and has obtained his B.Sc. degree from the Department of Finance, University of Sri Jayewardenepura with an honorable first Class. His M.Sc. in Business Administration is from the University of Agder in Norway. He is a renowned University Lecturer in Accountancy and Taxation and his teaching and research interests lie in Finance, Accounting and Economics. He has possessed a wealth of experience and expertise by providing Assurance and Advisory Services for the many clients of PBC over the years.

Denushka Chalani, one of the Founder Partner of PBC Associates, provides her guidance for the firm in Assurance and Advisory and Tax and Regulatory services. She is a director of PBC Management Consultants (Pvt) Ltd and provides all Company Secretarial, Legal and Business Consultation for the PBC clients. She has been in the professional career since 2009. She has specialized in internal audit assignments and her depth of expertise in many areas that include Statutory Audits, Forensic Audit and System Audit will add benefit to the clients. She has experience in working diligently with both local and foreign clients from manufacturing, retail, export, construction, service and leisure sectors.
Chalani is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and she is the All Island Third in the Commerce Stream at her Advanced Level and has obtained a B.Sc. first class degree from the Department of Finance, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Also, she holds M.Sc.in Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She has obtained a Certificate of Human Resource Management from IPM and a Certificate of Taxation from CASL. She is a former lecturer at NIBM and has taught Accounting, Finance & Taxation to many students. In 2018 she became a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Later she qualified in CPA Australia and ACCA UK showing her commitments towards updating her professional knowledge and skills to international standards.

Sandamali is a Partner in the Tax and Business Advisory practice of the firm. She has been with the firm since its commencement; she has been in practice since 2009 and holds a B.Sc. Accounting second upper degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. She is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Sri Lanka. Also she is a member of CPA Australia.
Sandamali has special experience in advising clients in planning and developing tax strategies to enhance the value of clients’ businesses, assisting in fulfilling compliance requirements and carrying out tax and due diligence assignments. She serves several large local clients, covering financial assurance services, construction, audit services and contract accounting services.
Before joining the firm, she had worked as the Finance Manager of a leading dairy company and a couple of construction companies in Sri Lanka. The experience gained in the commercial sector has widely supported her in providing value addition to the clients.

Salila Vithanage, Partner in PBC Associates commenced his professional career in 2007, providing Taxation and Regulatory Services, Audit and Assurance Services as well as Consultancy Services. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka who is an Accountancy Graduate from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and he holds a Master of Business in Accounting Degree from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. He is also a prize winner at CA Sri Lanka exams.
Salila has wide experience in serving the Banking and Finance sector in implementation of IFRS’s. Especially he has experience in conducting IFRS training in Maldives. Over the years, he has acquired an abundance of industry experience and has garnered multiple qualifications, making him a key member of the firm’s corporate advisory team. He comes with considerable experience in providing tax advice, tax planning and compliance in relation to both direct and indirect taxes. He is also widely involved in small and medium business project implementations in different sectors.

Chathuranga Sandaruwan, a Partner in PBC Associates, commenced his professional career in 2007, providing Taxation, Audit and Assurance and Consultancy Services. He is also working as a System Analyst and Business Adviser for small and medium scale enterprises and has obtained enormous experience in the SME sector.
Sandaruwan is a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He holds the B.Sc. Accounting (Special) degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM).

Anoma Rathnamali is a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. She holds a B.Sc. Accounting (Special) degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. Also, she is a Certified Tax Adviser and she provides consultations to clients regarding both direct and indirect taxation.
During her Service period she has obtained vast range of Accounting, External and Internal Auditing and Taxation Assignments covering the Industries of Hotels, Constructions, and Wholesale and Retail and Plantations. Further, she provides consultation on Company Secretarial Services to clients at PBC Management Consultants (Pvt) Ltd.
Tharanga Amarasena is a key principal of the Tax & regulatory division of PBC Associates. He has over three decades of experience in the areas of tax & regulatory services including in various industries ranging from manufacturing, plantation, services, energy, IT, finance and accounting professional services.
He provides a full range of tax services in compliance with the laws and regulations of Sri Lanka, building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent tax planning, consulting, and expertise, and also providing advice on complex tax matters/scenarios and liaising with the Inland Revenue Department of Sri Lanka and taxpayers. Tharanga is a fellow member of the Institute of CA Sri Lanka (CASL) and a senior member of the Tax Faculty of the same. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from the University of Peradeniya specializing in Mathematics and Computer Science. He was a renowned tax Director at PwC for ten years and before joining PwC he held the position of partner of a leading international audit firm Baker Tilly and worked as an expert consultant for the same, overseas.
Tharumal is the head of the Secretary division of PBC Management Consultant (Pvt) Ltd and has many years of experience in Company Secretarial work. She is a seasoned legal practitioner with extensive experience in civil and criminal matters at District and Magistrate Courts and has attested over 100 deeds as a Notary Public. Her skills in title searches, drafting agreements, conveyancing, and litigation advisory will be an added advantage to the PBC clients. She holds an LLB (Second Class) from the University of Colombo and is an Attorney-at-Law from Law College, Sri Lanka. Also Certified in Contract Drafting, Human Resource Management, and ICT Law, with additional qualifications in office applications and computer literacy.
Nayomi is a results-driven audit professional with over seven years of experience in Audit and Assurance Services across various industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, agriculture, construction, and non-profit organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) specializing in Accountancy from the University of Colombo and is a finalist at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. She is one of the experts at PBC Associates in conducting statutory, internal, and special purpose audits, ensuring compliance with Sri Lanka Auditing Standards (SLAuS), and enhancing internal control systems. Additionally, she possesses strong knowledge of Sri Lankan taxation with expertise in direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory.
Indika is an accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Human Resource Management. As the Branch Manager of PBC Associates – Colombo, he oversees branch operations, ensures financial efficiency, and drives business growth. Indika holds a Bachelor of Business Management (B.B, Mgt) degree from the University of Kelaniya, blending technical expertise with strong leadership to deliver consistent results. He is a member of AAT Sri Lanka and a finalist at CA Sri Lanka. His core competencies include audit and assurance, tax compliance and advisory, financial management, and consultancy services, providing strategic solutions to optimize performance and mitigate risks. With a solid background in accounting, he effectively leads and mentors teams, fostering a collaborative work environment. Known for his dynamic leadership style and results-driven approach, Indika has played a key role in strengthening PBC Associates’ presence in Colombo and remains dedicated to driving innovation and operational success of the PBC and its clients.
Iresha has been a dedicated and invaluable member of PBC Associates since its inception, contributing significantly to the firm’s growth and success. With decades of experience as an accountant, she excels in financial accounting, payroll processing, employee benefits, and regulatory compliance. Her expertise also extends to Human Resource Management, where she effectively manages recruitment, employee relations, and client handling. Having completed three years of CA Sri Lanka training articles under PBC, Iresha has gained a solid foundation in accounting, auditing, and taxation. Her keen analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail ensure accuracy in financial reporting, while her ability to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency highlights her commitment to excellence. Ishani has been a trusted and dependable professional at PBC Associates since its inception, contributing significantly to the firm’s milestones and success. Ishani holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from ATI Labuduwa and has successfully completed the Value Added Tax Certificate Course from CA Sri Lanka, further enhancing her knowledge in taxation and compliance.
